$107 worth of groceries for $30???

Ever since we moved to Georgia I have developed a strong interest in couponing. I've always loved saving money and finding the best deals and since I have been couponing I have mainly saved about 20-40% on my grocery bill but today was the first day I had ever saved a lot! I purchased $107.06 worth of groceries for only $30.41. Therefore, I saved 72% or $76.65 on my grocery bill! The lady that was bagging my groceries even had a double take moment and said "Wait, you got all dis' for thirty dollas?"  I smiled proudly and said, "Yes, Ma'am!" As corny as this sounds, I left the grocery store feeling great accomplishment!

Couponing is definitely not an easy thing to do, it takes a lot of time, planning, and thinking. You have to know which coupon to use, when to use it, and remember to only purchase the things you currently need or will need in the future. For me, I find couponing fun! I really enjoy matching up coupons that I have with current sales in the sale ad. AND, the best part is when you are at the checkout and you get to watch the total bill go down on the screen as the grocery lady scans your coupons. <----(I feel like a total nerd saying this & you are probably thinking that I am one of"them" ! lol)

Oh, and I cannot forget to mention, I even passed someone with one of those huge coupon clipping binders. It made me feel like we were in on this hidden secret that so little people actually take advantage of. I wanted to say something to her, (Like...."O my gosh!! You coupon too?? Tell me everything you know about couponing!!!" I wanted to ask her so many questions because she looked like she was a serious couponer.. and she was WAYYYY more into than me. (I think!) haha..but I didn't speak a word, I just glanced at her 3 ring binder and we passed in the isle.

Bentley even got some goods!

This is a sheet I printed out with the items and cost of what I planned to purchase at Publix. The number beside the item indicates how many to purchase. The writing above the description of the item is more specific to the coupon I used, and at the end of the item is how much the item will cost after the coupon is applied.

Here is a list of everything I purchased and how much I paid after coupons.

Happy Valentine's Day!!

From the Corson's!

I have been celebrating Valentine's day since Friday.

John took me to Madison, Georgia for dinner. I had grilled salmon and John had steak. We both ordered a glass of wine. (Which we ended up swapping.) Before that we stumbled into this UNBELIEVABLE antique store. It was Sooooooooo neat!! And it was huge! (I actually got a little turned around.) I fell in love! And the music playing throughout the store was perfectly fitting. I ended up purchasing an antique red closet, which is soon to be delivered to my home :) Afterwards, we went for ice cream at a local ice cream shop in Madison.

 Today, John told me he had another Vday gift for me. I had to close my eyes and in walked Bentley with my present in his mouth. It was a picture of an iPhone. I was so excited!! I have never had a smart phone before and I really really needed a new phone. (And was wanting the iPhone, since it is now available to Verizon users.) So this was so perfect! It was definitely the best Valentine's Present! So...from now until my iPhone arrives (tomorrow) you will find me next to the front door waiting to activate my first smartphone! Yay!!!

The iPhone picture as you can tell, it was definitely in Bentley's mouth :)

Boredom=Sweet Treats!

Today was my second day off in a row and since John was working I was getting pretty ancy around the house. So.... Bentley and I decided to bake some white chocolate chip cookies and bring them to work for John and his co-workers to munch on. Needless to say this wasn't the first time we had whipped up a sweet treat for them and delivered it over, so when they found out they were quite happy. When we arrived I rolled down the window to deliver the cookies to  Gary and Bentley nearly jumped out of the window with so much excitement. He loves visiting his daddy at work and I do too :)

Yummm...and of course, I had to eat some fresh cookie dough:)

There was never a moment Bentley took his eyes off the cookies!

The cookies turned out a lot larger than I thought they would!

 Off to take the cookies to work!
