I apologize for the lack of blogging lately! My life has been consumed by work and other happenings! I am happy to be back though!

Bye bye to my favorite season..

Last week, while doing some shopping I immediately headed over to the fall/winter clothing. Long sleeves, jackets, and jeans.

As I was scanning across these fabulous articles of clothing I was then hit head on with the thought.."What are you doing??? You are in Florida now! It is not the time to start wearing fall clothes!" ...I am convinced this was my internal clock telling me fall is approaching.

One of the main things I was concerned with and I guess I still am a little concerned about is not experiencing seasons. Especially my favorite season, fall. I have such good memories. All of you Floridians please tell me I get to experience fall?? You would make me a very happy girl!! And while you're at it, when does the humidity go away? :)

Here are some of my memories of Fall I would like to share with you!

Football games, hoodies, and scarves!

Cornfields in October!

Playing dress up on crisp cool nights on Halloween!

Random late night Egg nog shakes from Steak N Shake with my canadian gals!

f you are from a different state, what do you miss the most about where you are from?

Floridians, do you think you could live anywhere else?

Florida friends-what do you love about Florida??

queen of sweets.

Do you love sweets? Chocolate? Sugar? Yes!! I do! I've been trying to be a good girl and stick to better eating! However, from time to time I give in. The Queen of Sweets makes a grand arrival and I simply cannot stand up to her and I just let her take control and satisfy my sweet tooth :)

Tonight the Queen of Sweets whipped up this yummy baby!

After doing a little scrambling around on some of the blogs I follow, I was done when I saw Gracie's chocolate covered pretzel recipe. I needed something fast and simple and this was just it! It hit the spot! It actually even turned out better than I had expected. It tasted exactly like s'mores!! Which I am totally and completely 100% "A-OK" with! If you are craving some chocolate (or maybe wanting the Queen of Sweets to pay you at visit)..this is HIGHLY recommended!!

Tone it Up!

I stumbled upon the Tone it Up website recently. Have you heard of it? After reading pretty much the entire website (in one day) it's safe to say I'm a fan and I'm hooked!
It seems like the Tone it Up Lifestyle change is pretty successful. I was very impressed with all of the positive results people received. Another thing that impressed me was all of the nice things everyone said about Kerena and Katrina and how they were really encouraging for the people that are a part of the program.
I'm really interested in this program and have chosen to try out some of their recipies listed on their website as well as some of their workouts on the Tone It Up TV channel. The program is a one time $150 fee. You get access to things such as a grocery list, recipies, fitness guides, and some other things.

Yesterday, I started the morning off with some Tone It Up Protein Pancakes. They were a little dry, but good! I topped them off with 1 tbs. of agave nectar and frozen blueberries.

And for dinner I had a Tone it Up Turkey burger which I tweaked a little bit because I didn't have all of the ingredients with a side of sauted asparagus. This was REALLY good!!

I also completed the Itti Bitty Bikini challenge workout! I was feeling it this morning too! :)

Have you participated in a Tone it Up workout?
If you have, what do you think of the Tone It Up lifestyle?
Do you know anyone who has had great results from Tone it Up or a health/fitness program?

Cha Cha Cha Changes!!!

I've pretty much lived in a fairly small town for most of my life so moving to Orlando has been quite a life change for me as far as geographical size and city go. And I am loving every moment of this new experience for me!

Last night John and I decided to go out on the town for a lil' date! We started off by going to dinner at a place called Urban Flats. Have you been there?

John heard that if we went to dinner there we could get our parking validated. We checked out the menu and decided that it looked interesting and we would give it a try! And OH.MY.Goodness. I am SO glad we did!! I'm pretty sure this is my new favorite place to eat! It was so good!
I got the Artichoke, wild mushroom, crushed red pepper, goat cheese flatwich. Soo Good!

John got the Black and Blue Flatbread. John mentioned that it was very good but wasn't filling enough for him, but for me, mine was just right! I didn't feel overly stuffed, just satisfied!

After dinner we had plans to go see the movie "One Day". We then realized that our parking validation ticket was only good for 2 hours and by the time the movie was over we would be over the limit. So we went up to the police officer standing near the parking garage and asked what would happen if we went over, (if our parking would still stay validated) and he said that we would have to pay full price. So....this is what we did.........
We went back into the garage paid the validated price ($2.50) left the garage and drove back in, got another ticket, and got it validated at the movie theatre for another $2.50 so we only had to pay $5 for almost 4 hours of parking! whew! That was a long explanation.

We stepped into the theatre and I told John that I don't think I have ever been in a movie theatre this big before, and definitely not in one with leather chairs!! (---See what I mean?? Small town girl here!)

Ever since I saw the trailer for One Day I had really really high hopes for the movie. It was good. I didn't think it was AMAZING, but it was good. It was a very interesting movie in the way that they pieced together each year of a friendship/relationship over the course of twenty years. If you plan on seeing it, be sure and bring some tissues with you! It's a little bit of a tear jerker!

After the movie ended, we had just enough time to hop into Mochi and grab some fro yo before our parking time was up! I got a mix of peanut butter and pina colada fro yo ( John and I are crazy about anything that tastes close to coconut) topped with brownie bites and these orange round balls with juice in them. (Does anyone know what they are called?) It was great way to end the evening!

What are your favorite things to do in the city?
Did you grow up in a small town?
What is something new you have experienced lately?

Super Savings!

Yesterday I decided to get back into the groove of couponing. Couponing usually hits me in spurts. I like couponing and think it's very challenging, fun, and rewarding! I am always excited to watch my total go down as the cashier scans my coupons!

Couponing can be very tedious and time consuming. I do not let it consume my life. (I'm not one of those crazy couponers :) I do enjoy saving money though! :) So yesterday, I did just that! I saved a whopping $51. 81! I only spent $44.43 before tax. When I came home I asked John to guess how much money I spent and he almost guessed it on the dot! He guessed $44.44. (He's such a smart cookie!)

I always feel pretty proud of my hard work and coupon planning when I can walk away with a great deal! Check out what I purchased!!

Blender Blues

This mornings workout was a little different from what I have been doing. I decided to go with a workout I like to call "create your own workout as you go!" :) Which consisted of running/walking on the treadmill for 25 mins followed by the elliptical alternating between high and medium intensity for 15 mins. Do you ever have these workouts?

When I arrived home I was greeted by this little cutie!

I decided to follow up my workout with a vanilla protein shake. (I look forward to drinking these!!) Yum!

Blender Blues

A couple weeks ago John and I shopped around for a new blender. We didn't go too many places and we didn't end up with a new blender. The blender we have now is a cheap one that John had before we got married.

Now that I am using the blender more I would really like to get one that will get the job done. I'm not wanting to spend a crazy amount of money but I don't want to skimp on one either. Do any of you have any suggestions for a good blender? I'm in the market for one! :)

Now I'm off to finish watching Full House! Uncle Jesse is playing the piano and singing!

What is your favorite kind of workout?

In your opinion, what is the best and most affordable blender?
