Welcome to Florida!!

Growing up in the Midwest I experienced my fair share of bugs. However, after recently moving to Florida I have encountered more bugs here than I ever could have imagined! Especially these creepy crawlers.. ick.
I seriously cringe at the site of one. Luckily, John sprayed our house when we first moved in and now we only find dead ones like the one pictured above. Even though they are dead I still can't stand to see there little legs sticking straight up in the air. Ickk!!

Sneaky doesn't always win...

In preparation for dinner (grilled burgers) tonight, I began to write my grocery list. I noticed that we had an entire bag of bagel thins. Which in my head I thought would be sufficient for our burgers and I thought I would save us a couple extra bucks and not buy real buns because we most likely would not consume the rest of the bag. So, hours later when I decided to start prepping for dinner I casually mentioned to John my great idea to save a couple bucks! :) Did I mention that he is not a huge fan of bagel thins? Because he's not. So, he had a great idea too! --->Send me to CVS to grab some buns while he grilled our burgers.

Oh, and also, did I mention it was raining? Pouring. AND, an hour before that I just took a shower and straightened my hair.

Luckily, he was thoughtful enough to send me out in his raincoat so I didn't have to worry about my hair frizzing up! So... the moral of the story is...think about what others like and sneaky doesn't always win.

I'm off to watch the Bachelorette- The Men Tell All! I'm excited to see what Bentley has to say!

Inspired by Katie!

Today John and I both had the day off! (Which is a rare occasion that we actually got part of the weekend off and it was together!) We decided to venture over to the Mall at Millenia to look for a duvet for our bed. We have been married over 2 and a half years and we have never had an official bedspred. I think it's about time we step up! Plus it adds so much to your room.
After we returned home I began looking online to see what I would make for dinner. I was reading Keeping up with Katie's blog and stumbled upon her Cilantro BBQ Apple Pizza! It looked so good, I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to try it out for myself! It turned out great! I will deff. be making it again!

On Katie's blog I also discovered---> Artic Zero. What is this you may ask?? Well... it sounds pretty amazing. Artic Zero=150 calorie ice cream PINT!! YES, the ENTIRE pint!!!

As soon as I read those words I immediately got in my car and drove to Publix to buy some. I didn't want John to feel left out so I bought him his favorite ice cream too!

It almost sounds too good to be true...we shall see, taste testing will happen tonight!

Workin' it out!

This morning I woke up around 8 and headed to the gym. I'm trying to get back into the swing of working out. I really want to tone my body and I know that is not going to happen by doing nothing. So this morning my workout consisted of 20 mins of walking at an incline of 4, a 10 min mile, a 2 mile bike ride, followed by 16 mins on the eliptical. I love how my body feels after a great workout!

As I was reading one my fav. blogs (PB Fingers) this morning I couldn't help but repost this video! This is pretty cool. Especially if your the type who's trying to make the most of your time. :)

My first blog post!

I've been following health and fitness blogs for almost a year now and have contemplated whether or not I would start one of my own. I love reading other people's blogs and keeping up with what's going on in their life. (Not to mention they make blogging look like a lot of fun!) I am going to try and do my best to update my blog as often as you would like to read it! :) I'm excited! Let the blogging begin!
